The Veterans Section is a separate unit within the Club, self-administered and financed by a Committee, comprising the Vets Captain, Vice-Captain, Past Captain and 3 elected members, together with the Secretary. The section has some 100 senior members, aged 55 and over, with handicaps ranging from 5 to 28. There is an annual subscription of £10.

The most important aspect of the Vets section is the four-ball roll-up in the car park, which occurs three times per week, at times between 07.30 and 08.30, depending on the season. This obviates the necessity of arranging games as one is guaranteed meeting like minded golfers, renowned for their geniality and warm welcome to new members.

In addition there is a full programme of qualifying competitions throughout the year, and an ever popular round of 28 seniors' matches, home and away, with other fine clubs around Sussex.

There are also various Social functions and the section is usually well represented at the main Club events as well.

Our Vets Open competition will be held on Thursday 31st May 2012. All men over 60 years are eligible with a maximum handicap of 22.  For further details and to download an Entry Form please click on the Dyke Open Events link on the left of this page.
